Author Claire Swinarski visits local middle schools to discuss writing

Claire Swinarski, the author of “Each and Every Spark,” visited Bullen and Lance Middle Schools to speak with students about her experiences as a writer. During her presentation, Swinarski discussed the five Rs of writing: Reading, Research, (W)riting, Revision, and Resilience. She encouraged students by saying that everyone is a reader if they find the right book.

Students took part in the event by asking questions about Swinarski’s life and writing career. The visit was made possible with support from Blue House Books.

Indian Trail High School and Academy remains notable in Kenosha County for its student enrollment. In the 2023-24 school year, it had 2,001 students enrolled according to data from https://dpi.wi.gov/. This figure represented a 1.1% increase from the previous year.
