Kenosha Unified School District announced on Apr. 21 that elementary students and their families are invited to attend Bubble Bonanza, a hands-on family education program focused on the science of bubbles. The event will take place on Thursday, May 14, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Somers Elementary, located at 1245 72nd Ave.
The program aims to provide an interactive learning experience through stations exploring the properties and fun of bubbles. Organizers say a family meal will be served during the evening, and registration is open for all interested participants.
The district said everyone is welcome to participate in its family education programs. Non-Kenosha Unified School District families and community members are required to join the Family Education Programs Community Group before registering for this event. Once joined, members receive updates and can register for future events without rejoining.
For questions about the program or registration process, individuals are encouraged to contact Kenosha Unified School District’s Community Relations Department by email at engage@kusd.edu or by phone at 262-359-2256.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Indian Trail High School and Academy had the largest student enrollment among Kenosha County schools in the 2023-24 school year with a total of 2,001 students. The same source reports that this number reflects a 1.1% increase from the previous year.
