The city of Kenosha has announced a Community Clean-Up Day scheduled for Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to noon at four city parks. This initiative is part of the Keep Kenosha Beautiful program in celebration of Earth Day/Week. The announcement was made in a press release on April 7, 2025.
According to the press release, Kenosha has designated four locations for the community clean-up event: Lincoln Park (meeting point by the Oribiletti Center), Poerio Park Nature Center (meeting point by the park pavilion), Sunrise Park (meeting point by the playground), and Washington Park (meeting point in the large parking lot near the Velodrome). Volunteers will be provided with garbage bags, which will be collected by the city after the event. Participants are encouraged to bring their own work gloves and rakes for the clean-up.
The Keep Kenosha Beautiful program focuses on city-wide beautification and litter prevention through volunteer efforts. Volunteers play a crucial role in leading projects that enhance public areas and foster community pride.
