The City of Kenosha announced on May 5 that a lane will be opened at the intersection of 30th Avenue and Washington Road to allow eastbound and westbound through traffic during ongoing construction. The change is scheduled to begin Wednesday afternoon.

The city said this adjustment is intended to improve traffic flow while work continues at the intersection. The measure aims to minimize inconvenience for motorists as construction progresses.

According to the announcement, the City of Kenosha is working together with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the project contractor. Their goal is to maintain access for drivers and reduce disruptions throughout the duration of construction.

Full completion of improvements at the 30th Avenue and Washington Road intersection is expected later this summer, according to city officials.
