A clean-up event is scheduled at the Columbus Neighborhood Garden, located at 5509 16th Ave., on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon. The effort is part of the city’s Adopt-a-Spot program, which relies on volunteers to plant and maintain community gardens.

Organizers are seeking more volunteers to assist with fall clean-up tasks. Current volunteers will be present to guide participants during the event.

Supplies such as trash bags and gloves will be available for those helping out. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own work gloves and shovels if possible.

Additional information about the Adopt-a-Spot program can be found on the City of Kenosha’s website: https://www.kenosha.org/departments/_administration/volunteer_opportunities/adoptaspot_gardens.php
