Indian Trail Key Club hosts ‘Starry Night’ prom for exceptional students

Indian Trail Key Club hosted the ‘Starry Night’ Prom for VIP exceptional students in Kenosha Unified School District on April 25. The event welcomed attendees from Tremper, Bradford, Indian Trail, and the STEP Program for an evening that included dinner, dancing, photos, and other activities.

The prom was organized by Indian Trail’s Key Club with support from the Educators Rising Club. Several local businesses and individuals contributed to the event as sponsors or supporters. These included Birchwood Grill, Hometown Meats, Infusino’s Family Restaurant, Paielli’s Bakery, Mason’s Eatery, Ruffolo’s Special Pizza 2, Sunnyside Florist, photographer Ryan Anderson, DJ Bill Lynch, The Painted Paper Co., Chef Megan and staff from various schools.

A special acknowledgment was given to Mr. Bill for his role in keeping the dance floor active throughout the night: “A special ‘thank you’ to Mr. Bill for keeping the dance floor moving all night long!”

Indian Trail High School and Academy had the largest number of students among Kenosha County schools in the 2023-24 school year with a total enrollment of 2,001 students according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

The increase in student participation at Indian Trail High School and Academy reflects ongoing engagement within Kenosha Unified School District according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Hillcrest School organized a marine education day led by its own student volunteers for local second graders. The event featured interactive stations about whales and ocean life. Students engaged in crafts, games, simulations, and videos throughout the day.
