The City of Kenosha has announced that waste and recycling collection will proceed as usual on Monday, January 19, 2026. Residents should expect no changes or delays in their regular trash pickup schedule during the week of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

However, some city facilities will be closed in observance of the holiday. The Bulk Drop-off Site at 1001 50th Street will not be open on Monday. Similarly, the concrete and brick/block drop-off site located at the Street Division, 6415 35th Avenue, will also be closed on January 19. This site will resume its normal operating hours from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20.

City Hall at 625 52nd Street will also be closed on Monday in recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
