The City of Kenosha announced on May 1 that applications for the 2026 Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade, presented by Snap-on, are due by 4 p.m. on May 29.

The parade is scheduled for June 28 and invites participation from dance groups, marching bands, community organizations, and businesses. This year’s theme is “United States Celebrates 250 Years.” Organizers encourage creative float decorations reflecting the theme.

Floats will be evaluated in categories such as Most Patriotic, Hometown Pride, Superior Craftsmanship and Best Use of Theme. Judging will take place before the parade in the staging area. Winners will be announced during the event at Navy Memorial Park’s announcer booth located in the 5200 block of Sixth Avenue.

Community members of all ages are invited to join a bike ride as part of the parade. Bicyclists must be able to ride two miles without stopping and keep pace with the group. Those interested in joining only need to gather between noon and 12:30 p.m. at Seventh Avenue and Washington Road; no application is required for bike participants.

The parade route begins at Seventh Avenue heading south to Sixth Avenue downtown and concludes on Library Park’s west side. Applications can be found on www.kenosha.org or obtained by contacting Parade Organizer Kris Kochman in the Mayor’s Office via phone or email. The lineup announcement is expected in mid-June on the city website.
