Kenosha County will hold its annual Veterans Breakfast and Resource Fair on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kenosha County Job Center, according to an announcement by County Executive Samantha Kerkman. The event is open to the public and will take place in the commons area of the Job Center at 8600 Sheridan Road, Entrance D. Doors are scheduled to open at 8:30 a.m.
The breakfast is free for attendees and is sponsored by Piasecki Funeral Home. The event aims to honor individuals who have served in the U.S. military. In addition to breakfast, which will be served at 9:15 a.m., there will be military honors, the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner, and a brief program starting at 9 a.m.
A resource fair featuring informational vendors and complimentary haircuts provided by Gateway Technical College student barbers will also be available throughout the morning.
“This event kicks off a series of Veterans Day events that will be held throughout the county over the following days,” Kerkman said. “I encourage veterans, their families — and anyone who supports our veterans — to join us for breakfast, fellowship, and an informative resource fair.”
