Kenosha County is set to host its annual Veterans Breakfast and Resource Fair on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kenosha County Job Center. The event, announced by County Executive Samantha Kerkman, will take place in the commons area at 8600 Sheridan Road, Entrance D, with doors opening at 8:30 a.m.
The free breakfast is sponsored by Piasecki Funeral Home and is open to everyone who wants to honor U.S. military veterans. The breakfast will be served at 9:15 a.m., following military honors and the playing of the national anthem during a brief program starting at 9 a.m.
Throughout the morning, attendees can visit informational vendors and receive free haircuts provided by student barbers from Gateway Technical College.
“This event kicks off a series of Veterans Day events that will be held throughout the county over the following days,” Kerkman said. “I encourage veterans, their families — and anyone who supports our veterans — to join us for breakfast, fellowship, and an informative resource fair.”
