Kenosha County will hold its annual Veterans Breakfast and Resource Fair on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kenosha County Job Center, located at 8600 Sheridan Road, Entrance D. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., and the event is free for all attendees.
County Executive Samantha Kerkman announced that everyone is invited to enjoy a complimentary breakfast sponsored by Piasecki Funeral Home in recognition of those who have served in the U.S. military. The breakfast will be served at 9:15 a.m., following military honors and the playing of the national anthem as part of a brief program beginning at 9 a.m.
A resource fair featuring informational vendors and free haircuts provided by Gateway Technical College student barbers will be available throughout the morning.
“This event kicks off a series of Veterans Day events that will be held throughout the county over the following days,” Kerkman said. “I encourage veterans, their families — and anyone who supports our veterans — to join us for breakfast, fellowship, and an informative resource fair.”

Kenosha County schools serve diverse student populations; during the current school year there were more than twenty-five thousand students enrolled countywide. Of these students, about fifty-six percent identified as white while Hispanic students made up just over one quarter of enrollment—making them the second largest group—followed by Black students representing about ten percent (source). American Indian students comprised less than one percent (source).
The three largest high schools in Kenosha County this academic year are Indian Trail High School and Academy with roughly two thousand enrolled students; Tremper High School with nearly fifteen hundred; and Bradford High School also nearing fifteen hundred (source).
These community gatherings aim to honor local veterans while bringing together residents from across different backgrounds within Kenosha County.
