Kenosha County will hold its annual Veterans Breakfast and Resource Fair on Saturday, November 1, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kenosha County Job Center, according to County Executive Samantha Kerkman. The event is open to the public and aims to honor local veterans.
The breakfast, sponsored by Piasecki Funeral Home, will begin at 9:15 a.m., with doors opening at 8:30 a.m. Attendees can expect military honors, the playing of the national anthem, and a short program starting at 9 a.m. Informational vendors will be present throughout the morning, and student barbers from Gateway Technical College will offer free haircuts.
“It’s an honor to celebrate with our veterans and their supporters at this event every year, and it’s a wonderful kickoff to the series of ceremonies and programs that follow on Veterans Day and in the days leading up to it,” Kerkman said.

In Kenosha County schools during the current academic year, Indian Trail High School and Academy has the highest enrollment with over two thousand students. Tremper High School follows with about fourteen hundred fifty-eight students, while Bradford High School has around fourteen hundred forty-eight students. Additional data shows that white students make up just over half of the county’s student body (55.6%), while Hispanic students represent roughly one-quarter (25.7%) and Black students account for about ten percent (10.4%). American Indian students are among the least represented groups in local schools, comprising only about two-tenths of one percent (0.2%) of enrollment figures (https://dpi.wi.gov/).
The resource fair is part of ongoing efforts within Kenosha County to recognize military service while connecting veterans with community resources.
