Kenosha County is set to host its annual Veterans Breakfast and Resource Fair on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Kenosha County Job Center. The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon, with doors opening at 8:30 a.m., according to an announcement by County Executive Samantha Kerkman.
The free community gathering will take place in the commons area at 8600 Sheridan Road, Entrance D. Attendees are invited to enjoy a complimentary breakfast sponsored by Piasecki Funeral Home, which will be served at 9:15 a.m. Military honors and the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner will be part of a brief program beginning at 9 a.m.
A resource fair featuring informational vendors and free haircuts provided by Gateway Technical College student barbers will also be available throughout the morning.
“It’s an honor to celebrate with our veterans and their supporters at this event every year, and it’s a wonderful kickoff to the series of ceremonies and programs that follow on Veterans Day and in the days leading up to it,” said Kerkman.
