The Kenosha County Division of Aging and Disability Services will hold a public hearing on September 27, 2024, to discuss transportation services and the upcoming 2025-2027 Aging Plan. The event will take place at the Kenosha County Center in Bristol from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., with an option to participate virtually via Zoom.
The county is seeking $410,778 in state funding through the WisDOT 85.21 grant program. This funding would support specialized transportation options such as Care-A-Van paratransit services, LINK-Western Kenosha County Transit, Regional Medical transportation, and Volunteer Transportation Services for the year 2025.
Community members are invited to attend the hearing to learn more about these initiatives and provide feedback or suggestions regarding local transportation services for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
For those unable to attend, feedback can be submitted by email or phone. Copies of the preliminary grant application are available for review upon request. Free rides to the hearing can be scheduled by calling ahead.
