The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office has announced the release of certain sex offenders into the community, in coordination with the Sex Offender Registration Committee. This action follows Wisconsin State Statutes 301.46(2m), which allows law enforcement to inform the public about a sex offender’s release if it is believed that doing so will improve public safety and awareness.

According to the sheriff’s office, those listed in this notification have been convicted of sex offenses and have criminal histories that indicate a potential risk for re-offending. The authorities clarified that these individuals are not currently wanted by police.

“This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our intention to inform the public of this offender’s release. Sex offenders have always lived in our communities; however, it wasn’t until Act 440 was enacted that law enforcement gained the ability to share this information with the community. Citizen abuse of this information through threats, intimidation or harassment of registered sex offenders will not be tolerated,” stated the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office encourages residents seeking more details about these individuals, including photographs, to view their news release.
