The Parks Department announced on April 6 that the Kenosha Dream Playground at 2820 14th Ave. is temporarily closed while crews carry out surface repairs.
The closure is necessary because the repaired surface cannot be walked on until it has fully dried. City staff will continue to monitor conditions during this period.
Work is expected to be completed by Wednesday, April 8, with plans to reopen the playground on Friday, April 10. The department said that repairs finished last week were successful but were damaged when individuals entered the fenced area before it was ready for use.
The city thanked residents for their cooperation and patience as efforts are made to restore the playground for public use.
Updates about the project can be found on the City of Kenosha’s website or social media channels.
