Kenosha Unified announced on March 9 a partnership with Kenosha Spiritwear to offer families the opportunity to celebrate educational milestones by purchasing yard signs. The initiative allows families to recognize students’ achievements in 5th grade promotion, 8th grade promotion, and high school graduation.

The program aims to help families show school pride while also supporting local schools. A portion of each yard sign purchase will be directed back to the specific school, providing additional resources for students and programs.

Orders for the milestone yard signs can be placed through Kenosha Spiritwear until Thursday, April 30. Pickup for orders will begin at schools starting May 18. Families ordering signs for students at multiple schools are encouraged to specify their preferred pickup location so all signs can be sent there for convenience. The company noted that a minimum of 12 orders per school is required; if this threshold is not met, refunds will be issued.

Indian Trail High School and Academy had the largest student enrollment among Kenosha County schools during the 2023-24 academic year, with a total of 2,001 students according to data from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. This figure represents a 1.1% increase from the previous year as reported by the same source.

The continued growth in enrollment at Indian Trail High School and Academy highlights its significance within the district according to state education records. The yard sign initiative may provide additional support as student numbers rise.
