The Kenosha Unified School District announced on Apr. 15 that Jennifer Sepanski, an English teacher at Bradford High School, has been recognized for her contributions to students and the school community.

Sepanski is known for building strong relationships with her students and creating a classroom environment where students feel supported. She regularly attends after-school activities, sports events, and celebrations to connect with students outside of class.

Her teaching style encourages critical thinking and collaboration among students while promoting student voice and choice each day. In addition to her teaching duties, Sepanski serves as the English Department Chair, advises the Poetry Club and Gender & Sexuality Alliance Club, supports the Academic Decathlon team, and participates in the district’s Guiding Coalition Committee.

The announcement comes as Indian Trail High School and Academy was reported to have enrolled 2,001 students during the 2023-24 school year—a figure that represents both its status as the largest school in Kenosha County schools for that period according to data from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction—and a 1.1% increase from the previous year as reported by state education records.

Sepanski’s recognition underscores ongoing efforts within Kenosha Unified School District to support both academic achievement and student engagement through dedicated staff leadership.
