The Kenosha Unified School District announced on May 5 that it is honoring staff members who have reached 20 years of service. The district said these employees’ leadership and dedication help strengthen local schools.
The recognition highlights the contributions of long-serving staff at various schools across the district. Among those honored are Jeffrey Bardwell and Nancy Friedrich from Bose Elementary School, Barbara Howell and Donald Kauffman from Bradford High School, as well as several educators and support staff from Indian Trail High School and Academy, including Sarah Antczak, Scott Kennow, Christine King, and Alberto Saldivar.
“We are proud to honor staff who have reached 20 Years of Service. Your leadership and dedication help strengthen our schools,” the district said in its announcement.
Indian Trail High School and Academy had the largest number of students among Kenosha County schools in the 2023-24 school year, with a total enrollment of 2,001 students according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. This figure reflects a 1.1% increase from the previous year at Indian Trail High School and Academy according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
Staff members recognized for their two decades of service also include employees from elementary schools such as Forest Park, Frank Elementary, Nash Elementary, Pleasant Prairie Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, Ruth Harman Academy, Somers Elementary; middle schools like Washington Middle School; high schools including Tremper High School; as well as personnel serving at educational support centers (ESC).
The district’s acknowledgment aims to reinforce appreciation for experienced educators who contribute stability and continuity within Kenosha’s public education system.
