The Kenosha Unified School District announced on April 30 that registration is now required for all new and returning students. The district said early completion of the process helps ensure students are enrolled, assigned to schools, and prepared for the upcoming school year.

Registration can be completed by following steps provided at KUSD Registration. Families are advised to have a valid email address, emergency contact details, birth certificate or passport, immunization records, parent or guardian photo identification, proof of residency documents, health information such as allergies or medications, and a payment method for school fees available before starting registration.

Documents must be submitted at any KUSD school office regardless of which school the student will attend. Staff will review the information and notify families if additional materials are needed. School fees may be paid online through the Parent Portal after August 10. Families who qualify can apply for Free or Reduced Lunch programs that may reduce or waive some fees.

For assistance with registration requirements or login credentials, families can contact Helpdesk Support at 262-359-7700 or Marbella Hernandez in Registration and Bilingual Support at 262-359-6303 or mchernan@kusd.edu.

Indian Trail High School and Academy had the largest number of students among Kenosha County schools in the 2023-24 school year with a total enrollment of 2,001 students according to data from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. This represented a 1.1 percent increase in enrollment compared to the previous year as reported by state education officials.
