Mayor’s Youth Commission honors Kenosha students for achievement and service

The Mayor’s Youth Commission recognized seventeen Kenosha students for their achievements, leadership, and community service during the Common Council meeting on May 5.

The recognition highlights the efforts of local youth who have demonstrated strong academic performance, leadership qualities, and dedication to serving others. Honorees ranged from elementary school students to high school seniors, representing several schools in the city.

Among those honored was Finn Bradley, an eighth grader at All Saints Catholic School known for his academic excellence and involvement in student council, athletics, and music. Joseph Cardamone IV from Roosevelt Elementary was acknowledged for his participation in safety patrol as well as soccer, band, choir, and maintaining good attendance. High school seniors Quinn Carpenter of Tremper High School and Anaya Cunningham of Bradford High School were also recognized; Carpenter is active in spirit squad activities and aviation training while volunteering for community cleanups. Cunningham has been named Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year and is a decorated cheerleader involved in various volunteer projects.

Other honorees included Nicholas George (All Saints Catholic School), Adam Goins (Tremper High School), Abby Gross (All Saints Catholic School), Addison Klausner (All Saints Catholic School), Brady Kohel (Tremper High School), Timofey Kudryavtsev (Lakeview Technology Academy), Audrey Linkowski (Whittier Elementary), Ethan M. Mason (Indian Trail Academy), Nick Mendez (Whittier Elementary), Conner O’Reilly (Lakeview Technology Academy), Jia V. Raval (All Saints Catholic School), Elizabeth Roginski (All Saints Catholic School) and Felicity Ward (All Saints Catholic School). These students were commended for achievements such as maintaining high grades, leading student organizations or athletic teams, participating in music or theater programs, mentoring peers in STEM activities or civic initiatives, demonstrating empathy toward classmates or contributing to community projects.

The Mayor’s Youth Commission aims to encourage positive contributions by young people within Kenosha by recognizing their accomplishments publicly during city meetings.
