Indian Trail High School and Academy’s Medical Sciences students hosted an interactive showcase on March 9, highlighting 11 human body systems.
The event brought together students from all grade levels to present different aspects of medical science. Ninth graders researched diseases and medical conditions, tenth graders explored careers related to each body system, eleventh graders built working models and led games to teach visitors medical terminology, while twelfth graders organized and coordinated the entire event.
Indian Trail High School and Academy had the largest number of students among Kenosha County schools in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 2,001 students, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. The school enrolled 2,001 students during the same period, reflecting a 1.1% increase from the previous year as reported by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
The showcase aimed to engage both participants and visitors in learning about human biology through hands-on activities and presentations. The involvement of all grade levels allowed for a collaborative approach to teaching complex scientific concepts.
“We’re proud of our students for the leadership, innovation and dedication they demonstrated for all who attended!”
The event reflects ongoing efforts at Indian Trail High School and Academy to provide experiential learning opportunities for its growing student population.
