Moms for Liberty – Kenosha County has endorsed Bob Tierney in his bid for the Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) Board of Education, stating that Tierney “brings a unique perspective and unwavering dedication to” Kenosha’s schools. The election is scheduled for April 2.
“As a veteran and a father with children in the district, Bob Tierney brings a unique perspective and unwavering dedication to our schools,” said Amber Infusino. “His experience and commitment to our children’s future make him an ideal choice for the school board.”
In a November 2023 post on his campaign’s Facebook page, Tierney articulated his motivation to run for a seat on the KUSD School Board. He said, “I have not been happy with our district and the decisions being made for my children since entering KUSD. I have spoken at board meetings, sent emails, and argued with people for long enough. We need people on our school board who will listen and be transparent. We need board members who are logical and have the ability to apply common sense. I am not claiming to have all the answers but I will try my hardest to come up with solutions that work for all of us. The political/culture war crap needs to end! Our schools are failing our children and we need to be focusing on education, not politics.”
According to Kenosha News, Tierney is a U.S. Army veteran who served as a combat engineer in roles such as Team Leader, Squad Leader, Schools and Training NCOIC (Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge). He is also affiliated with the Wounded Warrior Project.
Recently, Tierney also received endorsement from the Republican Party of Kenosha County, according to its post on Facebook.
As per the KUSD School Board’s election notice, four Board positions are up for grabs due to members’ terms expiring. The top three candidates receiving the most votes will each serve three-year terms ending April 25, 2027, while the candidate with the fourth-highest number of votes will serve a two-year term ending on April 26, 2026.
