Nearly 100 students, families, and community members attended the “A Journey into Irish Traditions” family education program at Brass Community School on Mar. 10.

The event brought together participants to learn about Irish culture through presentations, food, and art activities. Organizers said guests enjoyed a lively presentation, sampled traditional Irish dishes from Captain Mike’s & Portside Catering Wisconsin, and took part in hands-on art projects inspired by Ireland’s heritage.

The program aimed to foster community engagement and cultural appreciation among attendees. Organizers thanked everyone who participated, saying there was “a hundred thousand welcomes for all.”

In related educational news, Indian Trail High School and Academy had the largest student enrollment among Kenosha County schools during the 2023-24 school year with a total of 2,001 students, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. This figure represents a 1.1% increase from the previous year as reported by the same source.
