Families seeking to have their child attend a different boundary school than the one assigned must submit a Parent-Initiated Transfer Request. This process is now open to all students from 4K through 12th grade.

The deadline for submitting transfer requests, as outlined in Policy 5330, is March 21, 2026. Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted. Families can apply online and will receive notification of decisions by May 1.

Students who already have an approved Parent-Initiated Transfer do not need to reapply if they wish to remain at their current school. For questions about transfer status for the 2026-27 school year, families are advised to contact their child’s current school.

Community members whose children are not currently enrolled in Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) may also submit a transfer request. If accepted, these families must complete KUSD enrollment and provide proof of address by June 1 to keep their spot.

To assist with planning, families can review boundary schools using the Boundary School Locator tool or reach out to their child’s school office or the Office of School Leadership at 262-359-6008 for more information.

Bose Elementary School reported an enrollment of 256 students during the 2023-24 academic year, which represents a decrease of approximately 5.5% compared to the previous year (https://dpi.wi.gov/).
