Joseph Rosenbaum was shot and killed in Kenosha during an altercation with a gunman in Kenosha Tuesday.

Rosenbaum was one of two killed in the incident. A third was injured.

All three were engaged in an altercation with 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse, who was protecting businesses and cleaning up graffiti in the area, had criminal records.

Records show Rosenbaum was a registered sex offered with a class 3 felony child sex abuse conviction.

One of those shot is seen in a cell phone video chasing shooter Rittenhouse down from behind and bludgeoning him before Rittenhouse fell to the ground and the shooting occurred. In another video an attacker nearly misses a retreating Rittenhouse with a Molotov cocktail. Afterward a shot rings out.

Robert Barnes, an L.A.-based civil rights attorneys told the Kenosha Reporter he viewed the video and felt Rittenhouse was “entirely consistent within his rights of self defense” during the attack.
