Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman has announced the annual Fall Wheel Ride to Petrifying Springs Park, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025. The event is open to bicyclists of all ability levels.
The ride will start at Kemper Center, located at 6501 Third Ave., beginning at 9 a.m. Participants will travel along the Lake Michigan shoreline before heading west toward Petrifying Springs Park. The route spans 7.8 miles each way and features several scenic areas in Kenosha County.
Guidance along the course will be provided by the Kenosha/Racine Bike Club, while deputies from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department will escort riders to ensure safety.
After completing the ride, participants are invited to gather at the Petrifying Springs Biergarten. Complimentary light refreshments will be offered by Kenosha County Parks and the Biergarten.
“The Fall Wheel Ride has become a favorite way for bicyclists to welcome autumn and enjoy the county’s parks and trails as the leaves begin to turn,” Kerkman said. “I encourage people to get out and enjoy our parks during this beautiful season.”
Event information and a map of the route are available online. No advance registration is required.
