City of Kenosha opens application period for Christmas tree seller licenses

The City of Kenosha Clerk & Treasurer’s Office has begun accepting applications for licenses to sell Christmas trees. The seasonal license is required for anyone who wishes to sell Christmas trees within the city and costs $50 per season.

Applications must be submitted before December 1, following Section 13.10 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Kenosha. Additionally, applicants are required to provide proof of a Wisconsin Sales Tax Seller’s Permit.

"Anyone wishing to sell Christmas Trees is required to apply for a license, which costs $50 per season," stated the City of Kenosha Clerk & Treasurer’s Office. "No applications will be accepted after Dec. 1, in accordance with Section 13.10 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Kenosha." The office also noted that "Proof of Wisconsin Sales Tax Seller’s Permit is required."
