WGTD’s Morning Show featured discussions on printmaking in an episode released on April 30. The program included interviews with Robbyn Smith, founder of Print Day in May, and Lisa Bigalke, a local printmaker who teaches at Carthage College.

Print Day in May is an annual event that takes place on the first Saturday of May. During this event, tens of thousands of printmakers from around the world collaborate virtually to celebrate printmaking. Smith said the event brings together artists from many backgrounds to share their work and passion for the art form.

The show also spoke with Lisa Bigalke, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Bigalke currently teaches printmaking at Carthage College and shared her experiences as both an artist and educator.

WGTD continues to offer programming focused on arts and culture through its various segments. Contact information for station leadership was provided for listeners interested in learning more about upcoming shows or getting involved.
