Due to a Winter Storm Warning, KUSD will not hold classes on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Although the warning is set to start at noon, the district has decided to close for the entire day. This decision aligns with Policy 3643 – Emergency School Closings and/or Learning Adjustments. All afterschool activities are also canceled.
The closure comes as snow-covered sidewalks create challenges for students who walk to school. Additionally, parking lots are becoming difficult to maintain with accumulating snowfall. Side streets and main roads are also posing challenges for buses and families due to ongoing snow accumulation and delayed clearing.
