There were 936 students enrolled in Salem School District in the 2024-25 school year, 2.2% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 54.6% identified themselves as boys, 45.4% as girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 83.8% of the Salem School District total enrollment.

Salem School District covers one school within Kenosha County, with its main office in Salem.

Wisconsin had a student-to-teacher ratio of 14-to-1 in 2025, lower than the national average of 16-to-1, according to Public School Review.
