Kenosha Mayor David Bogdala delivered his 2025 State of the City Address on March 3. He said the city is "flourishing" and highlighted several of his administration's accomplishments over the past year.

"I see a Kenosha where innovation fuels our economy, where neighborhoods are safe and thriving, and where every resident feels a sense of belonging," Bogdala said. "I see a City that embraces sustainability, celebrates culture, and ensures every voice is heard.”

“This vision will take hard work, collaboration, and a shared commitment to our community. But I have no doubt that Kenosha is up to the task,” the mayor said. “Together, we will build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Kenosha for everyone."

Bogdala discussed the city's economic growth, infrastructure enhancements, and public safety improvements.

He also discussed "strong partnerships" with local, state and federal leaders that "help drive our city forward." Bogdala also thanked the City staff "who are the backbone of Kenosha's progress."

Bogdala said he is "proud to report" to members of the City Council and Kenosha citizens that "that the state of our city is strong and growing stronger each day."

Bogdala was elected as the 51st mayor of Kenosha in April 2024. Before becoming mayor, he served as a city alderman for 16 years. During his time on the City Council, he participated in budget discussions, economic development initiatives, and public safety policies. As mayor, he oversees city departments, manages municipal operations, and works with local and state officials on policy matters.

Bogdala's administration has focused on financial management, infrastructure projects, and public safety programs. His office coordinates with business leaders and community organizations on economic development efforts. The mayor also works with the Kenosha Police Department and Fire Department on staffing and resource allocation. He delivers the State of the City Address annually and presents budget proposals to the City Council.
