Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) has announced the Indian Trail Band Presents: Beats & Eats event, which will feature performances by bands from Indian Trail High School & Academy (ITHSA) and the Mahone Middle School 8th grade band. The announcement was made in a press release on March 5, 2025.

According to KUSD, the Beats & Eats event is scheduled for March 15, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. at ITHSA Commons. It will include live performances by ITHSA bands and the Mahone Middle School 8th grade band. Admission is free, and attendees can participate in a 50/50 raffle, a basket raffle, and purchase food. Doors open at 3:30 p.m., and the event is cash-only.

Mahone Middle School is noted as the largest in KUSD and is organized into grade-level wings with separate schedules. Its educational approach follows the 'Circle of Courage,' emphasizing belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity. The school offers academic and elective courses, extracurricular activities, and a fine arts program with significant student participation in band, choir, or orchestra. Students also have opportunities for service within the school and community.

Indian Trail High School & Academy provides two educational options for Grades 9-12: a traditional high school experience and the Indian Trail Academy with four career academies—Medical Sciences, Business, Kenosha Military, and Communications. The school offers rigorous academics alongside extracurricular activities and career education access. Students wishing to join the academy apply through a lottery system while traditional students must reside within the school's boundary.

The Kenosha Unified School District was established in 1967 and serves areas including the City of Kenosha, Village of Pleasant Prairie, and Town and Village of Somers in southeastern Wisconsin. It operates numerous schools comprising elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, charter schools, choice schools, a specialty school, and a Head Start center. The district reports an enrollment of 19,069 students with an annual operational expenditure of approximately $304 million.
