Cost of college went up for all students at Carthage College

Tuition and fees rose 3.8 percent for 2018-19 at Carthage College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Wisconsin students paid $43,550 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,600 more than the $41,950 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 692 students received grants or scholarships totaling $19.6 million and 560 students took out student loans totaling more than $4.9 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,872), 2,599 students used grants or scholarships totaling $68.6 million, and 2,318 students took out $16.2 million in federal student loans.
