Weekly Administrative Update October 8

2

Bristol #1 School District issued the following announcement on Oct. 8

Please review the important upcoming weekly announcements compiled by Bristol’s Administrative Team.

● 10/12/21 & 10/14/21 - Parent Teacher Conferences: October 12 and October 14 from 4-7pm. As in the past, we will be offering primarily virtual conferences. In-person conferences will be accommodated upon parent request. Families coming into the building for any in person conference will be required to adhere to our face covering and social distance requirements.

 ● 10/22/2021 - Three-Year Old Birthday Parties: We invite all 3 year old Bristol residents to come celebrate your birthday at Bristol School from 10am-11am on October 22, 2021! Come enjoy toys, activities, cake and presents along with a developmental screening to make sure your 3 year old is meeting pre-academic, cognitive, speech/language, social-emotional and motor milestones. The birthday party is FREE for children with a 3 year old birthday between July 1st and October 31st (more events to come for later birthdays). Ready to register or have questions? Email rudolph.kim@bristol.k12.wi.us

● 11/3/2021 - Picture Retake

● Instruction - Bristol is only offering in-person instruction this school year. If your family is planning a vacation, please know that Google Classroom can be utilized as a resource but does not represent all of the learning that takes place in the classroom daily.

● Common Sense Media - As part of the requirement for Bristol School to receive E-rate Funds, all students receive instruction in (1) Internet Safety, (2) Cyberbullying awareness and response and (3) Social networking and chat rooms. Lessons on each topic are grade appropriate and help students understand the importance of internet and online safety.

● COVID Snapshot: Thank you for your continued daily symptom monitoring! For two consecutive weeks, our positive diagnoses have significantly decreased! As a reminder, this snapshot includes the number of students that today, Friday 10/1, are actively identified with a positive diagnosis, have been identified as a close contact status, and cumulative positive diagnosis cases since the beginning of the school year. We continue to rely on families to monitor symptoms daily and communicate with Bristol’s Nurse as needed.
