Today, just after 4:30 PM Kenosha Police conducted a traffic stop on a known subject wanted for felony domestic violence charges. The subject fled the stop, in his vehicle and a pursuit ensued.

The pursuit was quickly terminated upon learning a child was in the suspect vehicle. Officers continued investigating and learned of a likely destination. Officers convened in the 6200 block of 25th Avenue and discovered that the suspect fled into the suspected home after handing the child off to a neighbor. After confirming the child was safe KPD SWAT and KPD Negotiators were activated.

The subject was determined to be in the attic of the residence, hiding under

insulation. KPD Negotiators were able to successfully arrange a peaceful

surrender.

The 40-year-old Kenosha male was taken into custody without further incident.

This investigation continues to be open and active. Multiple felony charges will

be referred to the Kenosha County District Attorney.
