Kenosha County Public Health has introduced harm reduction vending machines at three community locations, according to an announcement by Health Officer Lori Plahmer. These machines offer Narcan, fentanyl test strips, and other public health items free of charge.

The latest machine was recently installed outside the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program office at 2000 63rd St. in Kenosha’s Uptown area. Previously established machines are still operational at the Kenosha County Job Center located at 8600 Sheridan Road and the Sharing Center at 25700 Wilmot Road in Trevor.

The vending machines at the WIC office and Sharing Center are accessible outdoors around the clock. The machine at the Job Center is situated indoors within the commons area and is available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

In addition to these, a similar machine provided by the HOPE Council on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse is accessible 24/7 outside its headquarters at 6103 39th Ave. in Kenosha.
