The Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) has announced that applications for choice and charter schools are now open. The application period runs from November 25 to December 6, offering families the opportunity to select educational environments best suited for their children in grades 4K-12.
KUSD emphasizes the importance of providing diverse schooling options to accommodate different learning needs. While students are typically assigned to schools based on their residential boundaries, they have the option to attend other schools through the district's choice and charter programs.
For elementary and middle school levels, available options include Ruth Harman Academy K-8, KTEC (limited to grades 4K-8), Kenosha School of Language (KSOL) covering grades 4K-5 with grades 6-8 at Bullen, Harborside Academy Middle School for incoming sixth graders only, and the Kenosha eSchool Program.
High school students can apply to Harborside Academy High School for incoming ninth graders only, Indian Trail Academies, Kenosha eSchool Program, LakeView Technology Academy, and Reuther Central High School.
Applications can be submitted via specific selection forms tailored for each educational level: Elementary (4K-5), Grade 6, and High School.
