Steve Fredriksson, a resident of Kenosha, expressed his support for Brad Schimel in the upcoming Wisconsin Supreme Court election. He said that Schimel would "prevent us from becoming a total basket case like Illinois." Fredriksson also described Schimel's opponent, Susan Crawford, as a "political activist" in comments to the Kenosha Reporter.

"Electing Brad Schimel to the state's highest court will help prevent us from becoming a total basket case like Illinois," said Fredriksson, Kenosha, Wisconsin Resident. "Wisconsin needs a constitutional originalist, not a political activist."

The Wisconsin Supreme Court election, scheduled for April 1, 2025, will decide the successor to retiring liberal Justice Ann Walsh Bradley. According to Ballotpedia, Crawford currently serves as a Dane County Circuit Court judge and is running against Brad Schimel, who is a Waukesha County Circuit Court judge and former Republican attorney general of Wisconsin.

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has entered the political fray by donating $500,000 to Wisconsin's Democratic Party in support of Crawford. The Cook County Record reported that this move aims to help maintain the party's majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Pritzker is listed in Wisconsin campaign finance records with an address associated with The Pritzker Group, his Chicago-based venture capital firm.

Former Governor Scott Walker noted that George Soros is also contributing to Crawford's campaign. Walker said, "George Soros is pulling millions into the WI Supreme Court race because a 4-3 liberal majority will redraw Congressional districts to squeeze out 2 GOP seats."

According to the Maciver Institute, Schimel's campaign commented on Soros' involvement: "It is no surprise why George Soros would back a candidate like Susan Crawford; she has spent her entire career implementing a deeply dangerous and radical agenda. From releasing violent criminals, attempting to abolish voter ID, and her troubling history of coddling sex predators, Susan Crawford is George Soros’ ideal investment." The campaign further said that "On Wisconsin’s Supreme Court, Susan Crawford has an agenda and Soros is buying into it."

Fredriksson resides in Kenosha and attends St. Elizabeth Parish.
