The Shalom Center is gearing up for its Annual Celebration, scheduled for May 2, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kenosha Country Club. The event, open to the public, will spotlight the efforts and achievements of the local non-profit. This year's theme, "Light The Way Forward," underscores the Shalom Center's strategic progress in aiding those in need. Kenosha Mayor David Bogdala is set to deliver an address during the luncheon.

Esther Roberts, Interim Executive Director, emphasized the significance of the occasion, saying, “Our Annual Celebration is a chance for us to express our gratitude. It is also an opportunity for everyone to better understand our cause, and to meet the individuals who are at the core of our mission, and to hear a lived-experience testimony from a past shelter resident on the impact of community support. Seeing is not just believing—it is understanding, caring, and gaining empathy.”

Attendees can expect to engage in socializing activities, enjoy a sit-down luncheon, listen to guest speakers, and participate in raffles and a silent auction. Tickets are priced at $75 and must be purchased in advance online via www.shalomcenter.org/events, where sponsorship opportunities are also detailed.

The Shalom Center aims to raise $50,000, with all funds directed towards its ongoing programs in food, shelter, and guidance.
