Wheatland J1 School District has announced that registration for its 2025 Summer School program is now open. The announcement was made in a press release on April 8, 2025.

According to the district, the summer school will operate from Monday through Thursday, between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with potential cancellations if fewer than ten students enroll. Students will receive their class schedules before the program begins, detailing their classes. These sessions aim to assist students in transitioning smoothly to the next grade level with a focus on hands-on activities, academic skills, and cooperative learning.

Regular attendance is expected throughout the program. If a student needs to be absent, parents are asked to notify the office in advance. Bus routes, including pick-up and drop-off times, will be provided with class schedules. To ensure transportation arrangements at the student's address, registration must be completed by May 30, 2025.

A fee of $10.00 will be charged for consumable materials in certain classes such as Arts and Crafts, Cooking, and Engineering Masterminds. Students are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior during participation. In cases of disruptive behavior affecting others' learning experiences, discussions with parents or guardians may occur. If unresolved, dismissal from the program without a refund may follow.

The district emphasizes financial stability and long-term fiscal health by tracking success indicators. It focuses on creating engaging classroom environments where technology is integrated into instruction seamlessly. Continuous improvement communication is emphasized among staff, students, and the community. The district aims to maintain a safe environment while planning for future growth and providing staff development opportunities. Additionally, it maintains high academic standards by offering co-curricular activities and additional educational opportunities such as summer programs and high school credit courses.
