Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) has announced the upcoming production of "Lost in Yonkers" by Neil Simon, to be performed by KUSD Theatre. The announcement was made via a press release on April 16, 2025.
According to the press release, "Lost in Yonkers" is a memory play set in 1942, revolving around two young brothers who are left with their stern grandmother while their father travels for work. They must adapt to life with their mentally challenged Aunt Bella, her secret romance, and their uncle Louie, a small-time hoodlum. Performances will take place at Tremper Studio Theater in Kenosha, Wisconsin on May 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24 at 7 p.m. Attendees are advised to park on the north end of the west lot and enter through Door 27. Tickets are priced at $15 for general admission and $10 for seniors, students, and staff.
The district's theater arts education program begins in elementary school with musical and operatic productions and continues through middle and high school with both curricular and extracurricular performances. The KUSD Theater program for the academic year 2024-25 has assigned roles to all auditioning students. Those interested in stage management or crew positions can still apply. Additional auditions for non-musical plays will occur throughout the school year.
Tremper High School opened its doors in January 1965 after construction began in 1964. Designed by John J.
