Indian Trail High School and Academy, part of the Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD), announced that their Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter attended the State Conference and earned awards in several events. The announcement was made in a press release on April 16, 2025.

According to the press release, Indian Trail FCCLA participated in the state conference held at the Kalahari Resort. Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a national student organization aimed at those enrolled in Family and Consumer Sciences programs. It provides resources and leadership opportunities linked to career readiness. Since its inception in 1945, FCCLA has supported students addressing personal, family, and community issues. With over 244,000 members across 5,300 chapters nationwide, it focuses on youth concerns such as parenting, wellness, peer pressure, and career skills while helping students develop leadership and life skills.

Indian Trail High School & Academy offers two educational paths for Grades 9-12: a traditional high school program and the Indian Trail Academy. The academy features four career-focused academies—Medical Sciences, Business, Kenosha Military, and Communications—and provides rigorous academics alongside extracurricular activities. Students apply through a lottery system for academy admission; traditional students must reside within the school's boundary.

The Kenosha Unified School District was established in 1967 and serves several communities including the City of Kenosha, Village of Pleasant Prairie, and Town and Village of Somers in southeastern Wisconsin. The district operates multiple educational institutions including elementary schools, middle schools, high schools as well as charter schools among others. It has an enrollment of approximately 19,069 students with an annual operational expenditure nearing $304 million.
