Bradford High School has announced that its prom will take place on May 10, with event details now available for students.

According to a news release by Bradford High School, prom permission slips are due by Friday, May 2. Tickets for the event, which is scheduled to be held at Parkway Chateau, will be available from May 5 to 9. To purchase tickets, students must meet specific criteria: no truancies or suspensions, no more than three unexcused tardies, and all detention time cleared from April 2 onward.

Bradford High School serves grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of over 1,500 students with a faculty of 145 members. The school's improvement plan aims for a 12% performance increase over three years by aligning instruction with grade-level standards and using assessment data to enhance teaching. The school also implements behavior management systems. Its motto, "Every Kid, Every Day," emphasizes student support through various programs including a freshman academy and intervention initiatives. The school offers diverse academic options, including over a dozen Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

Mary D. Bradford was the first woman to serve as superintendent of a major Wisconsin city school system. She led Kenosha Schools from 1910 to 1921 after earlier terms from 1878 to 1894. Born in 1856, she taught in Kenosha and joined several state normal schools before retiring in 1921 after a long career in education spanning 45 years. Bradford High School was named in her honor and originally opened in 1927 at Sheridan Road and 57th Street. The current campus was established between 1979-80 at its present location on 39th Avenue and Washington Road after the school board acquired and expanded a former University of Wisconsin Extension Center built in the 1960s.

The Kenosha Unified School District was established in 1967 and serves the City of Kenosha, Village of Pleasant Prairie, and the Town and Village of Somers in southeastern Wisconsin. It operates multiple educational institutions including elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, charter schools, choice schools, a specialty school, and a Head Start center. The district has an enrollment of approximately 19,069 students with an annual operational expenditure nearing $304 million.
