Kenosha County Public Health, along with several local organizations, will hold a back-to-school health fair for families on Thursday, Aug. 21. The event is scheduled from 3 to 6 p.m. at Brass Community School, located at 6400 15th Ave. in Kenosha.

The health fair is free and will offer backpacks and school supplies to attendees. Families will also have the chance to connect with more than 40 community vendors offering information about local programs and resources.

“This event has been very popular over the last couple of years, with hundreds of families coming out to make sure they’re prepared for the new school year,” said Kerkman. “It’s a great opportunity to learn about the health and family resources available from the county and our community partners.”

Immunizations will be provided in limited quantities for children who are enrolled in or eligible for Medicaid, those without insurance, or those whose insurance does not cover immunizations.

In addition to Kenosha County Public Health, partners supporting the event include Racine Kenosha Community Action Agency, Shalom Center, and WIC.
