The Village of Salem Lakes has announced new steps to improve communication and build trust with its residents. The village board and staff are working together to make information more accessible and ensure the community is kept up-to-date on important matters.

As part of this effort, the village has formed a partnership with Danny Langloss, a national leadership consultant. This move follows a trend among local governments that are looking for new ways to connect with their communities and strengthen transparency.

“Our board and staff are working together to strengthen communication, build trust, and ensure our community has consistent access to the information that matters most,” the statement from the Village of Salem Lakes reads.

The collaboration aims to enhance how information is shared. According to the announcement: “Through this partnership, we aim to enhance the way we share information and connect with our community. We understand that proactive, clear communication is more important than ever.”

To help residents stay informed, Salem Lakes will introduce a series of public updates through social media posts and emails. These updates will cover topics such as budgeting, long-term planning, policy decisions, local events, new playground equipment, boat launches, park improvements, and other village news.

“Our goal is simple: to foster an informed, engaged, and connected Salem Lakes. That’s why we’re launching a new series of public updates, social media posts, and emails designed to bring timely, relevant information directly to you,” the release stated.

The announcement emphasizes leadership focused on serving residents first: “Leadership that puts the community first—always.”

Village officials say they look forward to keeping residents engaged as these initiatives unfold: “We’re excited about what lies ahead. Stay informed. Stay engaged. Let’s move forward together.”
