The Kenosha Hometown Heroes Commission has announced that it is accepting nominations for the fourth quarter of 2025. The program seeks to recognize individuals who have shown commitment to both military service and community engagement.
To qualify, nominees must have been born in Kenosha, currently live there, or have lived in the city for at least 10 years at any point. Additionally, they must be current or former members of the United States Armed Forces.
Nomination forms can be obtained by calling 262-653-4000 or by visiting the city's website at www.kenosha.org.
Each quarter, the commission evaluates candidates based on their military record—including decorations, specialized training, length of service, and deployments—as well as their involvement in community activities such as participation in veterans' groups, volunteer work, civic projects, and other notable achievements.
One individual will be chosen each quarter to receive a Certificate of Recognition from the mayor. Quarterly recipients are also eligible for consideration for the annual Kenosha Hometown Hero Award.
The deadline to submit nominations for this round is November 28, 2025.
