The Kenosha County Division of Behavioral Health Services is organizing a community listening session to gather public input on the allocation of opioid settlement funds received from pharmaceutical companies. This event will take place on Monday, December 9, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Hearing Room at the Kenosha County Center in Bristol.

Kari Foss, director of the Division of Behavioral Health Services, emphasized the importance of community feedback for an ongoing research project aimed at effectively investing these funds. "We are in a situation where we have access to resources to help mitigate the opioid crisis that communities across the country have found themselves in," Foss stated. "But each community is unique, so we need to hear from our residents about solutions and strategies that will have the greatest impact in Kenosha County."

Foss encourages attendance from members of treatment and recovery communities as well as anyone affected by the opioid crisis. Attendees will also have an opportunity to receive Narcan training and learn about other behavioral health resources.
