Kenosha County launched its newly refreshed website today, featuring a new address and design improvements aimed at enhancing user experience, as announced by County Executive Samantha Kerkman. The URL has transitioned from www.kenoshacounty.org to www.kenoshacountywi.gov.

Samantha Kerkman stated, "All of these improvements were made with the goal of enhancing our website user experience. It’s also the next step in our rebranding process that began last year with the debut of our new county logo and seal. I’m pleased with the results, and I’m confident our residents will be, too."

A key feature aimed at improving site navigation is the “How Do I…” link in the header, designed to help visitors access the most frequently needed pages and services. Additionally, the homepage highlights a service that enables users to subscribe to receive updates such as meeting agendas, news releases, event notifications, and the Kenosha County Connection newsletter via email or text.

“This upgrade is designed to make it easier than ever to connect with county services, stay informed about important news and events, and access the resources you need,” said County Board Supervisor Laura Belsky. She, along with Supervisor Erin Decker, Kenosha County IT staff, and the county’s website vendor, CivicPlus, advised on the redesign process.

“The revamped website is another way Kenosha County is committed to helping residents access information and resources,” said Decker. Both Belsky and Decker were also involved in the county's logo redesign last year. Decker emphasized, “Ensuring the county remains a great place to live, work, and play is a top priority, and this website is one of many tools supporting that mission.”

Kenosha County Chief Information Officer Michael Bastianelli commented on the importance of the new URL: “While anyone can register a .com, .org, or .us domain, only U.S.-based government organizations can obtain a .gov URL. In doing so, it is our aim to demonstrate that this is a secure site and a trusted source of information.”
