The Back to School Ready Program is scheduled for August 19, offering families an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming school year. The event will take place from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at LakeView Technology Academy, located at 5533 26th Ave.

The program features a Family Education session led by Dr. Dana. According to organizers, the session aims to provide practical tools and guidance for establishing effective routines at home. "You’ll learn how routines help children feel safe, prepared, and confident, and you’ll leave with your very own family checklist to keep things running smoothly at home," Dr. Dana said.

Following the main presentation, two short sessions are planned. The first, called Snack Attack!, will offer advice on healthy snack options and allow participants to assemble their own snacks using provided ingredients.

The second session, Parent-Teacher Power-Up, will focus on fostering early connections between parents and teachers. Organizers state that building strong relationships can positively impact student success. "Building a strong parent‑teacher connection early in the school year is key to your child’s success. In this session, you’ll discover why daily attendance matters, how showing up for school events models engagement for your child, and the best ways to stay connected through your school’s communication channels. We’ll also cover how to approach conversations with teachers in a positive, proactive way to address concerns early and productively."

Registration is open for families interested in attending the Back to School Ready event.
